This is my second post, though it's quite different to my first, titled 'Strange Feelings And A Little Voice'.
I've almost always been able to tell whether or not I like someone from the moment I meet them, without being able to explain why. When I found out about auras, I wondered if that's what I had been sensing all along. For instance, I tended to feel a 'darkness' or 'cloudiness' around some people, and a 'brightness' or 'colour' around others. I also tend to associate certain people with certain colours. Perhaps these are some things that led me to wanting to be able to see auras. Maybe, what I saw could confirm what I felt.
For a few months now I've been practicing. I've always been fascinated by colour, so this seemed like a natural thing for me to do. I've been standing in front of mirrors, staring at the heads of my teachers and classmates, and even trying to see auras on the bus. It's not happening overnight, but it is happening! The harder I try, the worse it is sometimes, but in the moments when I have felt relaxed and calm, I have been able to detect brief wisps of colour.
When I first started seeing my own aura, it was quite shocking. I had to keep closing my eyes because it actually used to scare me! I'm used to it now, though. I still see my own aura best, which leads me to my question...
To someone who has experience with seeing auras: what do certain colours mean?
When I first started seeing my aura, it was predominantly yellow. As I continued to concentrate, the colour deepened, but also became kind of cloudy. There were brief flashes of red, orange and purple/lavender as I concentrated on it. This is generally what I saw when I looked in the mirror, even at different times of the day/night. Then I stopped looking for a while.
I've been practicing meditation for a few months since then, and I have noticed a change in the colour of my aura. The yellow is much brighter and clearer, not so cloudy/mustard-coloured. I haven't seen purple or red/orange. And, for the first time, I have started to see blue floating around at the top of my head! It looks kind of funny.
I don't know how many layers of the aura I'm able to see. My guess is not many, as I still don't see auras consistently, and I get headaches and eye strain if I try too hard! But I'll keep practicing. I was just wondering if someone would tell me what various colours of the aura indicate, as different websites seem to have different opinions about it, and I don't really know! Plus how can I improve on my ability to see auras?
Thanks a lot
