I guess you could say I'm psychic. I get these flashes of things sometimes that come true later on. And sometimes dreams that end up coming true. Apparently my grandmother had some sort of psychic gift. She read tarot cards, and maybe that's where I get it from.
Anyway, my parents and I moved into this house 10 years ago and I suspect it's haunted by the guy that used to live here. He was a cop and he was killed on duty around Christmas and a couple years after his death his family moved out. But I think he's still here. I used to catch flashes of things in the corner of my eye, of someone moving, and one day I saw a man's shoe step off the back porch and I was the only one at home. I would also see reflections in the windows of a man. I don't feel threatened in any way by this, so that's why I'm confused about what's been happening off and on.
Every once in a while just before I go to sleep I'll notice these flashing white lights in my room coming from my window. The first time it happened I thought maybe it was a porch light from the neighbors but I looked and there was nothing outside that was causing the light and when I looked with my back to the window, I still saw the light. Like it was coming from the window but was in the room itself. Only turning on the lights would get rid of it but of course one can't get sleep with all the lights on. Even when I pulled the covers over my head I still saw them. They weren't in my head. It was outside me. It happened a second time a month ago and I'm scared it'll happen again. I just want to know WHAT these are, and maybe WHY this is happening. I know when you're tired you're defenses are down and therefore you're more receptive to things such as psychic phenomenon.
Also to go along with this on other nights, also when I'm dead tired and close to falling asleep I'll hear voices. Not like in my head but outside, like two people having a conversation. The other night I even went to check to see if it was my parents arguing because it kind of sounded like them but it wasn't. My dad was asleep and my mom was watching tv. But I heard them. It stopped when I went down the hall but when I returned to my room I heard it again. And that, more than the lights, is scaring me because I can't just shut my eyes and wait to fall asleep.
And before you guys think I'm a complete psycho that hears voices and sees things that aren't there, I AM on medication but I'm not schizo, and I've been on these meds for years and none of them cause hallucinogenic side effects.
So if anyone can offer any insight I would appreciate it.
