Recurring Dream Foreshadowing Devastation?

I'm 21 years old, and have been having the same dream for about 10 years. The dream involved the Seaside boardwalk. In my dream the boardwalk was in ruins, more specifically, Casino Pier. (I know this because I've spent a lot of time at that boardwalk.) The purple roller coaster on the pier was in the ocean (in one piece) because the ocean came as high as the top of the pier and just brought it down. Which really made me feel uneasy. Just the thought of the ocean being that high.

Well, as you may or may not know, the Jersey shore was devastated by Hurricane Sandy this weekend, and that exact purple roller coaster was dropped into the ocean. Only that back corner of the pier with the roller coaster on it was pulled down into the ocean. And the roller coaster is basically in one piece. Just sitting on the ocean floor.

It gets scarier. I've also had dreams where the ocean is just constantly as high as the pier and the boardwalk. And it's just the norm for everybody. No beach anymore, just ocean and boards. And now I'm hearing talk of yet another devastating storm to hit the coast before hurricane season is over. I sincerely hope these other dreams don't come true.

There are other things that go on while I'm awake that just make me think sometimes too. Just a lot of strange coincidences.

I don't know what these occurrences mean. Do they mean anything at all? Or am I maybe just over-thinking things because of the shock of the devastation? Since the storm, friends of my family have been staying with us, and I told one of them about this and she happened to be very informed about psychic abilities and has some of her own. She told me I may have something going on here and I just want to know what others think. Any thoughts?

Precognitive dreaming, that is what happened. Sometimes dreams can predict the future, and I heard about all the devastation that happened on the east coast, and I wish everyone the best, my town was destroyed last year so I know what recovering from a disaster is like. But unfortunaltely, what happens next may come to pass. It is 2012 after all.

I'm actually on the East Coast as well, was supposed to be in the "Alert" area, but I've always felt a lot of protection from the sky. All we had was wind and rain, and I live 5 blocks down from the Delaware river. I was worried about that, but really we didn't get much here in Philly.

As much as I love my premonition dreams I hate them too. But as [at] vanillabeean said, I've always had the feeling that this is karma. We treat Earth like it's not living, and I've always felt that thee storms and stuff are karma that we don't take care of her good enough. But I could be wrong. I've had one recurring dream since I was probably born, and it never changed, never added anything new on, the only thing was as I grew physically older in the dream I would be the same age. I'd get it once a year, it'd be me and my sisters standing outside of a supermarket waiting for my dad to come get us. Only or my dad to show up in a blue pick up truck, and he looked possessed but not really as if he were Satan. I've always been a daddy's little girl, so it's kind of hard for me to like that dream. But my dad's not a saint.

Although I've also had of tsunami dreams, I felt trapped in them. But I haven't had them in awhile, the only real premonition dreams I had were containing my future. And I'm hoping my dreams will enlighten me with something concerning a fork in the road.

But that's scary, I saw the roller coaster picture and my jaw dropped. Some of my family lives in Ocean City, Cape May, and Atlantic City. I'm trying to find out how they are. I love my dreams.

Interesting that I saw your post as I was just thinking about the recurring dream that I have had for many years and if there is any way it will eventually come true (God, I hope not!). I will tell you about my own dream in a minute.

I think there is Truth to be found in many dreams because some dreams either predict the future or predict elements of the future. Not all dreams are prophetic of course. But obviously something was up with this one. I hope there is not another storm like this!

I live on the opposite coast from you, and I live right on the beach. I stare straight out my window to the vast Pacific Ocean every single day. I've had recurring nightmares for many years about a tsunami. I see it crash against our windows, which are 2 stories high. I just had the dream again last night, which prompted me to look at this website. I was going to post a new topic, but after seeing your post, I won't bother. You've started this discussion for me.

The thing is, the West Coast is not historically a tsunami area. What does that matter though? But after the quake in Japan (was it last year?), a tsunami warning was issued here for the first time in my life. I tell you--I was scared out of my mind. I was ready to pack up and go, having had these recurring nightmares for so long. But no tsunami came, THANK GOD. During the Japan disaster, my brother mentioned that he has also been having tsunami nightmares for many years! That makes me freak out even more, since I never knew that about him, and he never knew about my nightmares either. It's interesting because when we were little, my mom would tell my brother and I that we talk to each other in our sleep. If we were in a hotel or something. She would hear me talk, and he would answer, and vice versa, but neither my brother nor I could ever remember having any sort of conversation. We are not close, yet I feel like we are linked in some way we don't understand.

It doesn't help that in the current book I'm reading they talk about Earth being increasingly angry that we are not caring for her the way she deserves. She is ready to teach us a lesson. This book described the insurance industry financial mess, which would lead to ruin of other industries (I am an insurance broker, so I was on the inside during the AIG bailout), as well as natural disasters in places like NY, one of the banking capitals (in other words very bad people are concentrated there). Um... This book was written about 12 years ago, and from what's been going on in the last few years, I think it's right on target.

I'm terrified of living on the coast. The dreams make me feel like it is all going to happen at one time... Like Atlantis maybe, where the ocean comes and literally swallows the earth for a hundred miles inland.

Please--Let's all become better citizens, get out into nature more, and ask God or Spirit to please bless our Earth. Let's take care of her, stop polluting her, and comfort her too. 😉

I am amazed to read about this experience. Your new dreams ARE forshadowing future events. If you keep up with the scientific forecasts for the earth, the sea levels are rising, and scientists predict that within the next couple of hundred years those boardwalks WILL be underwater. You have a marvelous gift, enjoy it! 😊

The Earth itself is releasing its negative energy. And it's using you as its target

Hi wakeup,

I too was affected by hurricane Sandy, it was the worst I've ever seen. Thankfully I just got power back two days ago.

To be honest, I'm not surprised at all that another huge storm might be coming our way. I always got the feeling that its bound to happen again soon. I heard that nowadays with the earth warming up its something that we gotta get use to. Instead of this happening every 100 years or so, you can expect it to happen every 4 or 5 years! I can totally see us not having anymore beaches and this becoming normal.

Earth is changing a lot through many ways, we are entering a new shift of energy change. This means the earth will be shaken up in order to get rid of all the negative energy that has build up, which means more natural disasters.
