My name is Serenity and through this site I have come to realize that I am not only an empath but I also have slight clairvoyant skills.
I am able to tell when something bad is about to happen, and sometimes I know what it is. I can feel other people's emotions, when someone is lying to me, I can tell when someone is about to talk to me but only sometimes do I know who it is going to be, and I sometimes do not even need to be around them to be able to feel it. I can sometimes dream of what is going to happen, and sometimes dream how others feel if I have not picked it up in my waking life yet.
I have heard from other people that creating an energy shield around myself will keep other people's emotions from harming me. I have also been told that water is very healing for empaths and washing my hands or taking a shower can wash away my feeling of being overwhelmed.
I am interested in strengthening these skills and learning how to control them. I would like to learn maybe what mind exercises I can use. I have heard that meditation can help with being in touch with these skills, but I do not know how to go about it. What do I focus on in my meditations? Do I have to use energy work, or just call out to a potential spirit guide?
I do not remember a specific time when this all started, so I think that I have always had this ability, but only just started to realize it and pay attention to how it works. I feel the more I talk about it or tell others my experiences, the stronger and more often it happens. I would be happy to hear others stories or advice on strengthening my skills.
