How Do I Know Things That I Never Learned?

I need an answer. I am a seventeen-year-old who is very confused at the moment about some thoughts that have been occurring in my mind.

I definitely believe in psychic powers. Just from reading this article I can relate to knowing who is calling on the phone before I pick it up, very frequently having deja vù experiences, knowing someone's thoughts and having my suspicions verified once the person speaks, hearing chimes and beeps, and always having vivid and terrifying dreams every night. I also read that one sign of being psychic is having a logical mind and being analytical. I am definitely predominately left-brained and I have no difficulty in school or learning.

However, I have never predicted the future. I have never healed anyone. I have never touched someone and become aware of their story. I have never communicated with spirits or with someone who was not near me or connected to me by technology. I have never tapped into a genetic memory. I have never had what I would call a vision. I believe in these things, but I have not come close to experiencing them. I do not consider myself psychic.

Here is what I cannot explain. Sometimes I just know things. I am not talking about seeing auras. I am not talking about historical memories. I am not talking about psychometry. I am not talking about remote viewing.

I am talking about facts. I am talking about rules of mathematics and science. I am even talking about foreign languages. These are things that I have never learned, but suddenly find myself understanding.

I live out in the country near many Amish communities. Last week in town I heard two Amish people talking. I know that the Amish speak High Dutch, but I have never learned a lick of it. Then I started to listen to what they were saying, and I could understand them! I knew every word. How in the world is that even possible? I've heard people talking on television speaking Spanish or German or Mandarin or Punjabi, and now I can just understand them. I have begun to translate what they are saying before I read the subtitle, and when I read the subtitle I find that I get it exactly right!

People in school, even those in higher grades than I, are always coming to me for help with schoolwork. They know that I know things that I never learned. I have been asked to help with chemistry homework even though I have never taken chemistry. One time I answered a question in the book for some girl, and then afterwards turned the page to where the right answer (my answer) was without knowing. Sometimes they ask me how I know the things that I know, and I tell them, "I just do, okay? I don't know." And that's just it. I feel like sometimes I just get a download of information.

I have searched the internet with questions like "How do I know things I never learned?" There are only results for people who can practice things like remote viewing and psychometry. I have yet to find another person who just simply knows all the symbols for all the elements without studying them. I have yet to find another person who can extract the square root of a number without instruction and without a calculator. It has not been like this my whole life. I don't know why it's happening now. It is so sudden.

Can somebody tell me what the name of this ability is? Does it happen to other people? Do any of you experience this? Is it psychic per se or is it just a strong inexplicable intellectual ability? Why is it happening?
