Voices In My Sleep

Hello, my name is Steph and I have been having these weird dreams in which I hear voices. The first time I had one I was about 13, and it was really frightening. I am already asleep and I start to hear people chattering all at once, both female and male voices. Then it gets louder and louder until I wake up. This has happened to me a few times before and I hear a man's voice say my name and it sounds not human.

One time it felt as though they were all shouting my name into my ears. Then that man's voice said my name (in an angry manner) and I woke up. I knew it was something evil because of the sound of his voice and in my dream I just knew it was some sort of demon. Like once he says my name I wake up.

It's weird though because I see myself in my dream the same way that I am in real life. Sam clothes, same everything.

The latest one was today. I was taking a nap on the couch around 3 and everyone else was also sleeping. I wasn't dreaming about anything but I suddenly start hearing voices whispering into my ear. I can never make anything out other than my name, but this time I was telling myself to wake up but I couldn't. I could hear myself say, "Oh wake up" but I couldn't wake. When I finally awoke that dream I felt as though something was holding me back not letting me wake up.

I feel I also have a similar experience. I have off and on heard voices in my head while falling asleep, lots of them. Everyone is speaking at the same time and when I try to single one voice out and listen to it, it gets quieter. But then once I stop listening, everyone speaks up again. This only happens in light sleep. Today I had a strong urge to fall asleep, kind of felt like I was more being "pulled" asleep. I had a good nights sleep but I just couldn't help falling asleep. I dreamt about some kind of spirit in my apartment, and dreamt that my cat could see it too. I then began to awaken again and felt my whole body freezing up and not being able to move even though I am trying to move my arms and legs. Then I hear a mean deep voice say in my ear, "someone can hear you..." Then I awoke.

There are 2 things. One which is most likely you are hearing spirits in the spirit world. Another I have experienced. Are the spirits you hear, the same ones that whisper each night or are there knew voices each night? Sometimes some spirits have a very low energy level and have no way of communicating with you if your gift is not real strong yet so they come to you while you are sleeping. In my house there have been many times I felt a man but dismissed it thinking it was my imagination because at the time I never noticed anything unusual in the house. Saw something bad in my house one night and everything started to stir I guess. Still experiencing things. Well, there is a man in our house. He was also yelling in my ear while I was sleeping. I've learned to stop dismissing what I feel now.

Yeah, you really aren't alone. These voices would wake me up when I was younger, now I'm not sure why but they've silenced themselves, I hear them when I am awake instead, but not all at once like they used to be. I hear voices calling my name almost every day.

Hi, your not alone. I have this everyday. I agree it can be very frightening, but rest assured, these voices cannot do anything to hurt you. They are simply communication from the spirit world. If you feel there are too many at once, just say in your mind that you are sorry but can they speak one at a time please because you find them confusing and frightening. Or if you don't want to hear them at all, just ask that they please stop so you can quietly sleep. Remember, just be polite and they will be back.
Just remember too, say this in your mind, not out loud. You are trying to ask the spirits to stop talking all at once - not the ghosts in your home.
Love and light to you, hope you find a solution. Veron
