Contacted by my Spiritual Guide?

I've been extremely fascinated with anything that has to do with the paranormal for the longest time. I recently discovered about "Astral Projection" and the Astral Planes. I have been reading up on this site and for 3 days. Trying some techniques for meditating and accomplishing this amazing ability that uses our "Third Eye". I read wanting fast results won't work, so I was willing to practice for a while and wasn't expecting results for a year or so. Well after talking to my mother and brother all day about life after death and astral projection, the night soon came and it was roughly 10:00pm when they were both sleeping and I was alone in the house.

I went to smoke a cigarette with the back door open. All of a sudden I heard footsteps in the house and felt as if I was being watched. I started to get a chill. This happened three times before I heard what sounded like "chains dragging or rattling a little". I then heard a faint voice saying something with a lot of "n" letters in it, and sounding as if the person saying this was of indian culture or something. I immediately knew this was my spiritual guide contacting me, telling me most likely I was on the right track to experiencing astral projection. I heard the noise and voice a few more times while I looked outside to see if anyone was out there to no avail. It was silent as the night and not a person in sound. A really amazing experience that I will never forget. I also got pretty scared and had to leave all the lights on in the house, I don't think I was ready for that... Or at least I know I wasn't expecting it so soon.

I also had a lot of negative thoughts that maybe he (sounded like a male) was warning me not to mess around so much with the paranormal. What does everyone think?

You don't know for sure that this was your spirtual guide. I have one, and I've never heard chains dragging or anything like that when mine is around. I wouldn't trust this spirit if I was you. And as for Astral Projection, I can do it, and I think that it's best if you know where your headed when you want to astral project, and you should not do it if you don't know where you want to go, as the ties between the body and the soul if you astral project can be... Lost, if you will. That's why Astral Projection is very serious. You need to know where you're going, and you need to know how to hold on to your body while your out there, you know? If I was you, I would wait a while before trying this and really read up on it, and know how you're going to do it, and know everything about it. When I astral project, I fall asleep thinking about the place I wish to go in detail and thinking about astral projection itself also. Also, if you're astral projecting and you don't really know where you're going, then you could end up somewhere that you never intended to go. I hope that I have helped you.:)

Before accepting the spirit as a guide, look into the history of your house and land, you could've picked up on a spirit still hanging around. The best thing to do is to follow your instincts or gut feelings, they are rarely wrong.

The first time someone contacts a spirit, be it visual, auditory, ect., is scary for everyone. The first time I seen a spirit scared the heck out of me, and I know it was my guide I'd seen. I'm seeing more now, and every now and then one will pop up suddenly and give me a scare; just do what you feel is right.

My friend, heed the instinctive warning and try to keep away from "psychic stuff" right now. Best advice a "spirit guide" ever gave anyone!

It can happen that at a very relaxed state, we can hear our guides, sometimes it is like a voice in your head. This occurs when you are open to them, and you have over come the power of the mind. Overcoming the minds natural tendency to take charge, and by doing so we can tap into our soul being. It is also common that we have guides of different races. One guide will be with you until death; others come and go depending on what you have to learn. You also have guardian angels. Angels are not as chatty as guides. Eventually, with an open mind one can channel with their guides and receive guidance, but they will not stop you from learning. Sometimes you have to listen closely to how something is being said, to get the message clearly. They will give you guidance, but you must and only you can experience that of which you have chosen. They will discuss other things and will discuss your decisions after the fact, even help you make choices, but never for you.
Astral projection and travel are helpful in developing your skills in overcoming your mind. Noticing the pause between two breaths can help you train your mind and tap into your spiritual soul.
Peace & Wisdom,

My guides consist of African Witch/Medicine Man, Native American Indian-Shaman, Asian - teacher
Note that your guides will have the same type theme, life interest as you. It is such that they can guide you truely in every means, and want you to succeed, as they are also still perfecting their soul as we are doing here on. They do not however need to incarnate, but can should they desire to. I channel on a regular basis with my guides, I did not ask for this gift, or working as a medium or receiving visions, but it is what I am here to do, teach and to write with the help of the guides and angels.

Can you please contact me at yakul2 [at] and tell me how you can use astral projection. You see I have the ability to sense weither or not there is a spiritual entity in a house or not. When I was living in my grandmothers house I could always feel someone watching me. I think it was my grandfather I'm not too sure though. Anyways after a few months of living thereI was sleeping in my room and a small girl walks in. I didn't know who she was. I just thought my parents had guests over. But she appeared there and I did a double shot, but the time I looked twice she was gone. I asked my dad about it the next day and he said that they had had no one over. But it seems my family has had a long line of sensing the paranormal. My mother can sense weither or not a entity is inside a house or not, just like I can, and she told me her mother could do the same thing. Anyways this astral projection seems like a good way for me to contact sprits, please tell me all you know, I would apreciate it dearly.

HI Dave, I believe in spiritual guides. I myself have one and he protects me so. My Master guide is Hindu.
He spoke my name one morning as I woke up. I heard him in another language like India, Hindu, not english. They are there Dave, sur-round yourself with the light from the highest realm, stay in this light and the good Blessings will come your way.

DreamWarrior, you have defended your position very well ;) I just wanted to be sure you hadn't jumped to conclusions too easily. Sometimes, we have tendencies to "romanticize" our life to give it meaning, instead of looking at it "as it is". Even in the world of paranormal, the scientific approach is still valuable :)

I must add that I read and believe that if you are contacted by your spiritual guide, they will appear as whatever would be most comfortable to you. As for me, an American Indian would be most comfortable. Like some wise good man. This is why I strongly feel it was my guide. It was the perfect time for him to come as well, since I had gotten in touch with my spiritual self that very same day.

well, I can't say for sure it was an Indian. I just know what the voice sounded like and it wasn't english. I completely understand where your comin from and you very well could be right. I do live in an old apartment in pennsylvania that very well may be haunted. I thought I have heard footsteps before. But the circumstances leading up to this spiritual "paranormal experience" was the same day I learned everything I ever wanted to know about the afterlife (or supposedly) and it was a very very very very important day in my life. For one of my first ghost experiences, it just seems it was something more important. If it wasn't for the spiritual evolution of that day, I would pass it off as a ghost. And if it wasn't for the indianish voice, I would've passed it off as a ghost as well, or that I finally have gone looney and started hearing things.

As far as spiritual guides, he may not be indian at all, but he might have known that that's what I read people usually say they are, like some time of indian or foreigner. It makes sense to me as indians are very spiritual and they would probably much rather be a guide than choosing re-incarnation. But who knows? I think he knew if he talked in english it wouldn't even cross my mind that it could've been my guide. So the indian thing was just a hint maybe. Know what I mean?

Thanks for your input Martin

DreamWarrior, not to diminish your enthousiasm, but I don't think there are enough dead indians (natives) for every new agey person that proclaims to have an exotic shaman guide, which is kind of an old cliche. Not that it can't happen, but between you and me, considering the treatment they received from the white invaders, I doubt they would be in such a hurry to help them grow spiritually ;) So do please keep an investigative mind about this, it could just be a random ghost / haunting. Personlly, I'm not that big on the "guide" concept, since it seems to be an awfully boring job to watch over some people live their lives while not being able to do much. I mean, if we all had one, there wouldn't be any bad accidents happening, would it. Yet, there are plenty.
