My First Astral Experience

About a month ago, I had what I believe was an astral travel experience. I was lying in bed, half asleep, but half awake and aware of my surroundings. I suddenly felt my body vibrate from the inside and once I realized this sensation, tried to "rock" myself out of my body. Once out, I took a look at myself (my astral form) and saw that I was a light, bright blue entity, but with my natural form. I heard two voices, a man and a woman, but I do not remember what they said. I then proceeded to "fly" around the room, and then tried to visualize myself outside. Once outside, I then found myself back at my parents house with my sisters and my mom - only this event wasn't happening in present time - I think it may have been in the past. That is all I remember doing during this experience - I woke up peaceful and excited about what finally happened. I have consciously tried to project before, but with no luck. I have also had instances of sleep paralysis, to which I have heard voices outside of me.

Coming from a strong Christian family, practices like this are often frowned upon, so I haven't shared any of these experiences with my family. I have had other spiritual experiences in the past that they do know about, but that pertain to the faith - such as an electric presence within my body, and a tingling sensation following. I have also had "prophecies" concerning my family and friends; these experiences, however, I do attribute to God working through me.

I want to expand my spirituality, including any psychic abilities that I am capable of and astral travel. If anyone has any advice on these matters, please share them with me.
