I would like help regarding a dream that I had in July, 2006. The setting of the dream was at the old house of my mother's friend. The door was half open, as if I was supposed to go in. A person was sitting in a chair outside, several meters away from the door. The chair was on about a 45 degree angle. I started circling around the person in the chair at a distance (I could view their side profile and they actually looked like a teacher I had that school year). Then, a mangy dog with brown, stringy fur and bared teeth ran out of the house and past the person. I tried to get closer to the person (I was several meters away) because I wanted to see if they were who I thought they were. But as I tried to, I got an intense feeling that I have never had before, or since. It was as if I could not look into the face of that person because if I did I would be looking at evil. I didn't even know if it would be a human face, but I knew that whatever it was, it was evil and I didn't want to go near it. It was as if there was a barrier in my dream that prevented me from going closer. Is there a psychic ability linked to my experience, or a name for what happened to me in this dream? I would also like to know any theories as to the possible meaning of the dream.
