Tarot And Psychic Gifts

Today I bought my first deck of tarot cards. Golden Tarot of Kat Black. It's a beautiful deck and it really speaks volumes to me. Each and every card has many layers of different truths that I can sense but can't put my finger on. Is anyone here a tarot practitioner who also is a psychic intuitive?

I've done some research on how the tarot works, but I am not sure how most psychics use their gifts to let the deck truly "speak". I am trying very hard to resist the temptation of reading the author's viewpoint of the meanings of the cards. It's difficult to put all my thoughts in order as well. Does anyone meditate using the cards? If so, how? I would really like to learn how to read the cards especially for a querant. Like any young and inexperienced psychic, I would really like hard evidence for myself (not for others/skeptics) that will assure me that I am not going insane and that I really do have the gift.

Also on another note, I hear a lot that the cards are best used in the presence of a spiritual guide. Or to create a "sacred" space whilst using the cards. How did you connect with your spirit guides? I have a power animal and he/she does a pretty good job of teaching me things. But is the power animal enough to really bring out meaning in the cards? Must I have multiple guides for this to work?

Sorry if this is all over the place, but all the questions posed here are very relevant to the subject: Tarot and its uses. My experience with tarot has been very limited and beforehand, I thought it taboo as with something akin to the Ouija board. However, now that a deck has truly "spoken" to me, I have a sense that I must learn this craft and use it for good as well as for my own psychic development.

Any and all sensible advice would be well appreciated. Thank you.

since you are new to tarot cards, first of all it takes a lot of focus and to have an open clear mind, when you are reading for you self and others, also with psychic abilitys you can tune in on focus altered trance state of mind. You can ask you spirit guides to help. One you can ask your dead love ones to help guide you. But you will know what the cards say and mean by your own inner voice listen carefuly to your inner voice you will know what the future holds. But the more you work with them the better you will get. And you will have people wanting readings from you. But be honest with the outcome of the cards as they say even if it's not good news. But remember focus clear open mind when reading tarot cards, I have my own deack I read for many of my friends and my family and the cards proven the future as read. But it's fun too enjoy your tarot cards.

I have the same Tarot Deck as you! I agree with you they are so beautiful! I can see that each card has a secret meaning in each and I love to always look at them. My favorite spread is the Celtic cross. I believe it tells much deeper things than any of the other spreads. I've been pretty accurate with my readings in my family and friends. Sometimes they don't make sense until a little while later.

Thank you so much SweetDeanie. Your comment has been the most helpful and most insightful, unlike cyopathic's idiotic comment. Thank you soooo much again. The advice is above and beyond what I expected to get.

I use tarots and angel cards and my readings so far have always been very accurate - spookily so.

I don't think there is harm in using the authors notes as a guideline, what I mean is I still use the authors notes but they don't tell you how this specifically relates to the person you are doing the reading for or how they interconnect with the other cards in the reading.

I find it quite hard doing a basic 3 card reading and find I work much better with an indepth celtic cross spread. What I do is look at the authors notes to see the basic meaning of each card - for example does it relate to meeting a new person, a secret affair, money, travel etc... Then after getting that basic hint I start to pick up feelings on how it directly relates to the person I'm reading for in their life and current situation.

I can then expand on each card to them, as I draw more cards I can start to see the connection of the reading - the flow of the questioners life and story as well as answers to the question they have asked (in their head)

What is important is that you read it as you see it even if to you it makes no sense. For example I did a reading for my mum and I could see she was having a secret affair with a man of authority, I straight away knew that this man was a policeman she was friends with, I could see other things too and of course at the time I didn't believe a word of it because I never believed my mum would have an affair.

About 2 months later she left her husband and moved in with this policeman so my reading despite my own lack of understanding and disbelief was true.

I can also pick up things about a person by touching an object belonging to them, even if I don't know who the object belongs to and again often the information is frequently confusing to me and makes no sense, later only to have the information confirmed as accurate and the person expand on what the meaning of my information was, filling in the gaps.

I've also experienced on one occasion a burning of my ear lobes and a sick sensation in my stomach and a random message for someone in my head, not understanding it I didn't want to say it aloud feeling a bit embarassed that it was all in my imagination, but the feeling as though I was going to be sick kept getting stronger and stronger and I knew I had to say the message to the person or it would just get worse. After relaying the message the person told me again how accurate it was, I had even mentioned 2 names to the person of who the message was from and again this had been spot on.

So what I'm getting at is that whether you get a feeling, thoughts, words, symbols, visions, smells or whatever during a reading that you can't make sense of and may seem as though it has come from your own imagination it is important to relay these to the person you are doing the reading for as it may be significant and make sense to them even if it does not to you.

And remember, if you want to see future, it's not the future is only a possible one.

Tarrot is nice:)
You should learn the cards meanings, deal them and things will just pop your head. Is a nice feeling, is just like you actually know in the minute everything about something of one person.
You just have to think about someone and one subject while shuffling. If you are reading them to someone, that someone has to put part of his energy in the shuffling, just touching it's enough.
And your deck is your deck, if it's used by others your energy will dissipate and replaced by other, removing it's purity.
You shouldn't meditate using the cards, use it only if you need or someone needs it.
My mother does it sometimes, but she gets really tired after that.
