Chakras And Energy

After the last story I sent to this web site (Feeling Energy Inside Me) I have been reading about chakras from web-sites and have concluded that the energy I can feel is felt at my chakra points. By focusing on a place on my body I can bring a strong pleasant sensation to that area, with a central point being strongest, mostly in the first 4 chakras, ankles and knees.

After reading the posts from the last story I submitted I looked up chakras and found the 7 major points, then tried to focus on the throat, third eye and crown chakras with a little success there also. A couple responders to my story said they could feel energy in their hands and I tried and can do this a little also. Also in my feet it appears.

I have looked up a lot of sites for chakras and looked around for sites on energy and looked for books. There seems to be so much information out there on the chakras that it appears there is no end to it. Some sites talk about the 7 chakras and some about the 12 chakras and some about locations different from mine. I have gained some knowledge from "random reading" on sites and a little bit in a book I'm reading about clairvoyance and have done a few things with energy.

I have struggled a little with depression when out in the woods hunting for the last 10 or 15 years. It seems that it comes from missing certain people who are gone or certain times in my life. This year when it hit me while hunting I focused on my heart chakra and the depression was gone instantly. It worked again while driving around an old neighborhood. It was easy and made a big difference in my hunting this year. I spent more time in the woods than I have for quit a few years and enjoyed it much more.

I walked so much I ended up with a sore hip when I woke up one morning. I remembered reading about drawing earth energy through chakras in the feet to help strengthen the lower body. I pictured the lower half of my body filling with energy from the earth and my hip quit hurting. Each time it started to hurt I could stop it the same way for varying periods of time.

I would like to know more about chakras and energy but the amount of information I am running into is overwhelming and sometimes contradictory. If anyone could help me narrow down my search with information about books, web-sites or other sources and/or ideas or any comments I would be grateful. I would also like to understand more of what I'm doing with the energy and have had little success finding information explaining it, but a lot of information about chi, reiki, qui cong and other in depth things like that.

I really appreciate the comments and insight by the people who have posted comments on my stories. All comments are read more than once and appreciated. It has been helpful and I would like to thank everyone for your time and information.

I've read your stories. It seems as if you have made a long journey in your learning. You have learned a lot from reading & internet sites. Now, you need to practice more. Remember how you drew the energy up to your hip? You did it then.
Here's a technique to increase your healing energy. Put your two hands together as if you were to pray. Very very slowly pull them apart parellel to eachother about an inch or two. Hold it there. When you feel a sensation such as heat or tingling that is your own energy (life force). Move your hands further out always with the current of the energy that you feel. In time you will be able to extend your hands about 6 inches or more apart. Than, you will be able to put your hands about an inch or two above the body of the affected area. With Reiki you need to touch the body. This style you don't. Oh, and when you first heal a person or animal you must introduce your hands very slowly and also move your hands very slowly. Your hands must go to the spot hold for a few moments until you feel a sensation and wisk the sensation outwards off the body. Never from the outside to the spot on the body. If you are inside open the window so the energy has somewhere to go. You don't want trated energy lying about the house. Also, next time you feel a little depressed Hug a tree. I know it sounds crazy but trees have a bountiful of energy. Try it you will see. Just don't let someone who may not understand see you do it for obvious reasons. Hope this helps.

I really enjoyed reading about your experience. The information from AnneV is helpful as well. I'm a hunter and fisherman and love this state also.
I've been using energy since a baby but didn't know what I was doing. At 3 years old I could remember slowly waking up with the galaxy in front of me, a soothing rythmic sound in my ears, a pulsating sensation through my body, and a warm pressure in my hands.
I've talked to a psychic or "spiritual messenger" about it. She has told me I'm very advanced in spiritual learning but I haven't been trained in this life in such matters so I was very humbled and didn't know how that could be. When experimenting with energies I feel like a beginner explorer discovering new places. I don't feel very advanced.
However, I believe we have 3 minds, a conscious, subconscious, and a soul. If you have trained using life force energy in your past lives in places like India, Tibet, China, Japan, Egypt, or Atlantis, etc., then you may be a natural and very good at it. Your soul memory records all of your past lives and remembers your training. This is what I believe.

There are a lot of web sites on chakras and they indeed can be confusing. There are seven major chakras but there are also more that extend outside the body (we have 13 total) which is why the numbers differ. I have activated all of mine while OUT of the body and I thought I was going to explode. They are very powerful, especially when you work them in the subtle realm. I'm talking 13 major chakras (7 are the ones that are generally covered) but there are tons of minor ones too because they are related to the physical body unlike the higher ones which are related to the astral, and onward. This is the purpose of acupuncture. You can have needles galore because there are so many energy points in the body. We are a complex grid. People focus on the "major" chakra points, and that's great, but there are many more.

I've been involved in the paranormal/spiritual/metaphysical arena for decades and there is one "bible" I swear by when it comes to chakras and that's Barbara Brennan's book called Hands of Light. It's simply amazing. She covers everything you need to know to understand, repair and enhance your system.

All those words (chi, reiki, qui cong, kundalini, etc.) are different words about the same thing: life force. Because every religion uses different words for the same thing, it seems like there isn't any straightforward way of taking all this in and some terms and concepts are very complex. It's great you're doing so much research but pick up Barbara's book (probably can get it at a library for free) and you'll have a very complete overview of chakras and auras. It's the only one I keep picking up and re-reading.

Not to throw a wrench in this, but crystals applied to the chakra areas are very beneficial. For example, I use an amythyst for my third eye because I do remote viewing (I also use the crystal called vivianite). They can take an experience from "that's kind of cool" to "holy cow". If you don't want to fiddle with a bunch of them as technically there are different types of crystals for each chakra, a good old fashioned quartz crystal works just fine for all of them and is pretty inexpensive.

Hope this helps.
