Voices In My Head. Spirits Or Paranoia?

A lot of times I hear voices. It usually happens when I am going to sleep or daydreaming or something. I could be just lying around and I will hear speaking in my head that is not my thoughts. Sometimes it sounds like a conversation. Like I would hear rapid speaking like a conversation, but it is sometimes hard to understand. Or I would hear somethings very clearly.Like,I hear my name. Or sometimes like it is speaking to me. One night I was in my bed. It was cold and I was shivering. I then heard a male voice in my head say, 'Cover up'.

Another time I heard more. It was the middle of the night, and I was lying in my bed awake. I heard a male voice in my head say,'Listen'. I got confused and wondered what was up. Then I heard another voice say,'We'll go in the other room for a while'.This happens A LOT. I hear people (IN MY HEAD) ALL THE TIME. At least every day. I hear my name, or conversation, or laughing, or random sentences. I usually hear a male, or males, I can't distinguish differences, but there is a voice I heard repeatedly. Anyway, what does this mean? Could I be psychic? I know my house is haunted because my dad saw a spirit in my house. Also,my mom heard someone say,'mom',.But she heard it out loud, not in her head like I do. WHAT IS GOING ON?

hi um weird stuff like this has been happening to me I keep hearing voices but instead of just one I hear 4, and when they say something my vision gets blury and red and I get a headache until after they stop talking. Also I never use my first name, I always use my middle name "katrina" but the voices in my head keep saying my real name over and over 😐 😐 😐

To be honest I have heard voices since I was real young, I always thought it was my imagination or just low self esteem attacking myself when I am not really speaking up or allowing myself to be quite as open. I have had male voices in my head sometimes, or just awful thoughts that I know are not my thoughts. Last year I was studying for school after work at the hospital cafteria after midnight. I was concentrating hard reading and I heard a woman's voice say my name that literally vibrated through out my whole body. I felt not breath but I felt a hand on my shoulder, and I wanted to look but I was afraid for something to get close in my face very quickly. I just nodded that I knew they existed, and kept reading. Then I turned to look but found nobody there. It was bizarre, I just thought maybe I was stressing myself out with going to school 8-noon and then working 2-11 pm.

I hear a males voice in my head. And it confuses me because I think there may be more than one. One's really aggressive and threatens me while the other tries to flirt with me or something. It scares me a lot too and it just started back in july. And I also feel cold spots around me, people touching me and I even hand someone grab me hand and try to pull me to my room. You're not the only one going through this. I hope you know that. There's a lot of us out there and well, its something we were both "gifted" with and "cursed" with

I have the same problem, but the person talking to me is a male who says "hey" and it scares me too, so you're not alone:) I suggest you try talking to them, strike a conversation. I know it might sound scary, but I'm trying to do that, so it might help:) Hope you get good results!

You are in the clear. You're experiencing something that could be many explanations.
Let's hope it's one of the good ones, the really good ones. You need to be in Church, where many people are praying to God. If you don't pray, you'll still recieve the good energy and the Angels will see your mind very clearly.

Well, just go with it, try some Yoga to calm down, even if you don't have voices, do something like that, go jogging, try Zen, just to relax. De-stress is a great gift and makes life very pleasant.

If it gets too too crazy, maybe you need a little time with a psychologist, they are helpful even if they don't have what you do or are not religious.

Last, keep a positive attitude. Learn to love your own mind and heart (emotions) and keep your body healthy. Most likely no one will have any vast powers in the flesh (body) so go ahead and find a marriage partner, you don't have to be celibate unless you feel that calling.

Enjoy your gifts! Peace. ❤ ❤ ❤

just under a year ago this happened to me it was extremley hard for me to accept such a gift, my advice to you is dip your toes in the water, when they speak in your head ask a question or two ask what they want, trust me there's a reason they are speaking and they are aware you can hear them but don't worry they won't harm you.

Hi Marina!

I'm Brooke and I am here to say that you are hearing spirits. If they are not your voice in your head, then they are more than likely spirits. Or at least that has been in my experience.

I will be happy to help you or talk to you about your hearing spirits. Email me at brooke.wortham [at]

Those are spirits who call our name when we lying on bed, I don't know how you feel? But that is not good symbol, because in begining I ignore this voice same like you peoples, but after while those made me in trouble, anyway life, so I contact a person who solved my problem, then I never heard that idiot girl voice.

hi marina,

This is my first comment ever!... And I am pretty sure this has happened to me before, actually a couple times, and I have been laying in my bed and I would be right about to fall asleep when I get an absurd amount of cuss words and I got a strong feeling of a man. This only happened twice and I would say about two years ago. It bothered me a lot, but from what you said, it sounds like those are some pretty nice spirits! I wouldn't worry too much, I mean they don't even want you to be cold lol that's great!

I don't know what it is, but I can tell you I go through the same thing. I gotta ask, aren't they just a pain sometimes?
But I've been told that it's spirits. So you could be a medium, man. If you find out, flippin email me, cause I'm curious.

Simple, you have someone looking over you. Don't worry, it's not there to harm you or anything, you can feel safe.

Hi Marina!
I'm new to this forum and I thought I would write to you because I 've had similar experiences. WIth me it is not that often, but like you, it is absolutely real.
The most vivid one was once when I was alone reading my book. I was thinking about something at the same time, but I heard voices in my head in the background. It was like two men quarreling! It was not my thoughts however, because at first I got annoyed. It was like they were distracting me from my thoughts. I tried to concentrate in my book but their voices became louder, until one of them shouted really loud "What is that?". I did not know what to do however. Other times I here someone calling my name. I t feels as if they are very close to my ear-that is a little scary.
I can't help you because I also don't know what it is, but I am sure we are not crazy just because it is not something that happens to the people around us (although it could be something usual, you never know!)
Bye! 😊
