Black Wolf And My Husband

I'd like to start off by saying that this is not my first experience with visions and other psychic happenings. I have other stories if you would like to know more about my past experiences.

A couple months ago (November or December) for several mornings I'd wake up with the feeling that something was watching my husband and me. I would look down at the foot of the bed between us and there would be a pure black wolf with bright yellow eyes standing on the bed, looking at me. He would howl and disappear.

After a few days of that happening he howled and walked up the bed between us. I felt each of his paws placed carefully as he straddled my husband, walked down his body and laid on top of him with his muzzle facing my husband's feet and his tail just under his chin. The next morning before he laid down on my husband he looked at me in the eyes and I got the word "Sinew".

The past few days I've been feeling him standing on the bed again but when I turn to look at him there's nothing there. I know he has something to tell us but I don't know what it is.

I've tried looking up the symbolism but nothing I find seems to fit. My husband and I are both deeply connected to wolves. One of my spirit guides is a white wolf with sky blue eyes. He has a silver one named Talbaine. We have wolves all over our bedroom too.

My husband has never seen this new black wolf and I'm wondering if anyone could give me any leads on what he could be trying to tell us.

He isn't threatening or playful. He is just calm and it seems like his message is urgent so I'd appreciate anything you can think of.

The sinew could mean that your Husband or the Life you have with Him is your connection to the Divine... As in through him you are "tied" to the Divine.

A marriage should thus also be seen as a gift from God... A new Life, and tons of magic because of Love.

The blessings you get after sacrificing your old single life for something greater than yourself by thinking and living for the happiness of more than one person.

I just have to add, since a wolf is a canine as in "dog"... Dog spelled backwards equals God.

I believe your guides gave you a great vision, to evaluate your priorities in life and to count your blessings!

Thanks for sharing!

GypsysHeart... Sinew connects muscle to the bone... And it was used to bind together things... Like an arrow head to the shaft... Native Americans used it to bind together just about everything... So that's why I will say it is about something that binds you two together as a couple. The way the wolf lay on your husband has a sort of clue to it also. I get a from him to you thing. And the howling before he lay on the bed is a its time now or coming soon to your relationship...

It is very possible that could be my husband's totem or a representation of his soul. He has a somewhat dark personality but he is a very loving and sweet man. I've also seen him when he isn't in the room. I've seen him as he appears but without his glasses. It's happened a few times. I'll have to try meditating tonight and see what my guides say.

Barry talked about a black wolf walking on water and "marital responsibilities"... It could signify that in order to "walk on water" and not sink drowning in destruction, you have to have faith in the "black wolf" almost like to keep your marriage strong it is needed... He can always be strong for you, but you must be "strong for Him too" doing your part, and then there will be success through Faith in each other. You have to seek to KNOW each other, and not to ignore the other... It is like two donkeys tied to the neck with one rope, both got to go in the same direction for a "win-win" situation - first walking to each other, from the one side to the other side and vice versa and then tackling on a same direction, a mutual goal.

Sometimes spirit guides can assume "different forms" in your mind's eye just to convey a certain message.

Also you might be well familiar with the fact that the wolf is a "great spiritual teacher"... Your Husband is like a "spiritual guide" along your path too... It is something in your husband that is like the "noble wolf"... Maybe he looks dark and is feared by people, but you know the warmth and Light in his eyes. (Symbolism of contrast between dark coat and the fire in the eyes... The Light that lies hidden beneath the darkness)

*things that look bad aren't always evil, light comes in many forms, it all depends on how you choose to see it... Many times our own fear of the "unknown" can prevent us from learning a deep life lesson, the wisdom you can attain from overcoming your fear is like embracing a maturity of soul. After all we are "spirit" so why FEAR SPIRIT when it tries to speak to us?! I mean if we come from Spirit why nurture a fear of what we essentially are, for that is just illusion, thinking we are apart from that which we really are*

Hi GypsysHeart,

I gather that you were comfortable when this happened and you weren't frightened and I think that's a good sign. You are the one who is noticing the wolf but the wolf is on your husband and one of the definitions of sinew is 'The source or mainstay of vitality and strength', maybe you need to reassure your husband with something that he may be not very confident with? The wolf wants your attention and Becky666 suggested doing a meditation and I think a meditation can help. I found this website http://alltotems.com/wolf-totem-symbolism-and-meaning/ and maybe there's info on it that can help you better understand why the wolf is asking for your attention?

My son had a vivid dream of a black wolf walking on water to him... See if this definition of sinew has any meaning for you or your husband... The source or mainstay of vitality and strength... Or the source of strength, power, or vigor. I feel the message is for you. Maybe you are seeing your husband as your strength, and not claiming your own power thus putting all responsibility on his shoulders...

I would try meditation and also asking your spirit guides for help.

Maybe you were both wolves in a past life and this was a former pack member? Or perhaps in a past life your husband owned this wolf and he's still attached to your husband. They say when we die that our past beloved pets are often there waiting for us.
Thanks for sharing.
