I'm really freaked. I'll start by saying I am an 18 year old female. I was trying to take a nap earlier, and I got extremely intense closed eye visions. I have always been able to see shapes and patterns when I close my eyes, but today is the first time I had extremely vivid pictures of landscapes, people's faces, and people going about their life and doing random things. I also saw lots of eyes. I saw flashes of a bright blue eye for the longest time. None of these images would last for long, and I was super scared the entire time.
One of the weirdest parts of this experience was I heard a voice say "Hailey will wear white". It's the only thing I thought I heard. That REALLY scared me. My name is Hailey so I decided to google, "I will wear white." A poem I had to read for English my senior year of high school was the first search result to pop up on the internet. I didn't realize I had read it at first until I got deep into the poem. The poem is "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" by T.S. Elliot. I never really liked poetry or anything so this is really weird. I told my friends about what happened and they think I'm insane. I've never taken any hallucinations or anything like that.
I am an atheist, and I don't believe in ghost, spirits or generally anything of the sort. I do, however, contemplate existence and the universe every single day. It actually drives me insane. I hate being an atheist and not understanding why we are here and the meaning of everything. Last month, I got really emotional about the fact I will never understand the universe, and my belief in the lack of life after death. I actually cried pretty hard about it and hadn't really thought about it since.
I am just confused about this event. I have looked all over the internet for a reasoning behind my visions, but I've hardly found anything besides the whole 'third eye' thing and that I'm maybe clairvoyant (I really don't know what either of those explanation mean). There's really no true scientific explanation about what I experienced so I just thought maybe I'd share what happened and see if anyone dealt with something similar.
