Hearing Voices Before I Fall Asleep

I experience many different things I can't yet explain. I came to this website and discovered I too am not alone. I hear voices at night before I fall asleep. Which is so scary, because I don't understand it and its right close to my ear like a loud whisper. And I'm trying to sleep so its kind of annoying. And they sometimes talk to me, mostly a lot of the time they greet me, like saying "hello, can you hear me" and I responded back once but I did it as a reflex and when I realized I didn't see anyone, I freaked out!

Another thing that happens to me is, if I sleep next to someone I will have a dream about their true intentions with me or about their personality, sides of them they don't show.

I've also had a few times where people tell I have this or I have that, but I don't even know what most of this stuff is, the gifts I have, I don't know how to use them or what they are called...

If someone will contact me and ask me questions about different stuff, I'm more than happy to answer them so they can answer me on what's going on. Thanks;-)

There is a lot more to me that I don't really want to discuss on here unless contacted personally that I go through. The things I experience are getting stronger, and its a lot more difficult to manage. I used to have a boyfriend who was the same way as me but more stronger spiritually and he knew way more than me, and we were really connected but I broke up with him. I felt as though he was leeching of my spirit and draining me of my happiness. But I read about energy vamps, and I think maybe he was one. But anyway, thanks for reading... All feedback is appreciated:)

In the last few years I have been experiencing the same thing. Just as I lay down at night and begin to relax I "hear" voices. I used the quotation marks because I can tell it's not a sound that someone else can hear yet it's not just something that pops up in my mind it does somehow affect my sense of hearing. Usually the voices seem loud as if it came from just inches away and it feels as if its rattling my eardrums but at the same time I'm aware that there is no actual sound. It's almost impossible to explain, but it sounds like some of you may be able to relate. I can tell when its going to happen because my sense of hearing changes like it's tuned into a radio station or something and it can be so frustrating when I just want to fall asleep but I keep being startled back awake by loud voices, sometimes it's a yell, sometimes it's a bit of a conversation and other times just a word. I also see faces when I close my eyes and begin to relax in bed at night. Some are warm and kind but I often see distorted frightening faces as well. They come in a quick flash as if they are darting toward me and then disappear and most of them have a distinct color that accompanies them. I would really like to know what I can do about it. How I can turn it off at night and if I could possibly tune into it at a time when I feel less vulnerable like during the day in the light. How to avoid or protect myself from what I find disturbing and how to access other more positive aspects that could be insightful or helpful. If anyone has any advice to give on this subject I would greatly appreciate it ~ jigglinbabi, does any of this sound familiar to you? I've tried talking with friends about it but I can tell they just don't understand, I've been told that its probably a dream or a hypnic jerk, that falling sensation that happens sometimes when you fall asleep, both of which I've experienced, as most people have, and what I'm experiencing is something totally different.

Just before I drift into deep sleep I have very quick flashes of images and people That I just can't quite make out. I have had this since I was about 12 years old. But these images make me feel sick to the stomach and violently make me jump awake I need some advice on how to manage this, I am feeling very exhausted from all the rude awakenings. I just wish I knew what I was ment to do with it.
If anyone can help me that would be great Thanksx

When I was younger, I would experience things in the state close to sleep, but it was rarely voices or sounds. I would generally see things while my eyes were closed. These were much clearer and more real images than my mind's eye. They were usually frightening images such as grotesque faces with no eyes. I'm sure this was linked to something in the house I was living in since I had many more frightening experiences there. I plan on posting info on these on yourghoststories.com when the submission page is back up.

Sometimes when I go to bed and close my eyes and I think this is when I'm totally exhausted. Just before I fall into a deep sleep I will start to hear things. Sometimes voices, even talking in different languages but mostly english or I will hear sounds. But lately I see flashes of words or visions. A scene or picture will flash in my mind. Especially when I get around to reading alot. I like to read the Bible or Christian books. I will be reading sentences that stand out and they will be very bold like they mean something but I won't remember what they say when I awake. I am not afraid or scared when I experience these things. I am just anxious to learn how to use this ability to my advantage. It almost feels like I am tuning into a radio frequency. If anyone knows of what I might be experience please let me know.

When dealing with the paranormal, fear is something you MUST overcome or else you can get into serious hot waters 😐

Try working out your fear first before conversing 😐

i hear voices at night. And I see people in the bathrooms. One time when I was 3 I heard them talking about p-diddy and his miss hasp. (slip-ups). And there is this other spirit. I only see when my older brother visits. For the night. Really scary. But I haven't seen her lately

[At) jigglinbabi Please don't shut them out it will shut your power out. I was scarred to talk to them too but just recently I told them to stop for the night and they did. If you were to come across a mean one I would say "In Jesus name I command you to leave". I think its nothing to be fearful of. Just take deep breaths and relax. If they ask you to do something remeber you have to choice to tell them you want to or not.

hi jigglinbabi, I'm john.
I have the same ability but not to the extent that you have it. But I've had a conversation with someone that wasn't there one time. It told me what was going on in the other rooms, who used to live here, and other things. I thought I was crazy. This happened when I was 13. Now I'm 15 and no matter where I go I can still talk to people, depending where I am, the person might be difforent. What I ask them to do is tell me what other people are talking about in the other room. And it turns out, they were right.
I have a few abilitys other than this. Like future telling dreams, this ability, and a few others. My email is amnesya29 [at] yahoo.com if anybody wants to talk.

I can't really tell if I hear voices, I do hear one voice or at least I think it's one voice. It tells me things like the truth, or even tells me what action I should do, it's always a good action. Also I think I hear music, and one time I think I heard a female talking and I thought it was a woman talking to her child. It happened before I went to bed.

I have heard voices a few times, it usually sounds like it is close to my ear. It's usually only 1 or 2 words, or a number. The times I heard the voice, sometimes male, sometimes female, it's usually a time I need help or important information, like May 11,2006, it whispered at 3:30am in my ear "your pregnant" and indeed I was! And when we were stressing about a name for our little girl, one afternoon in Sept of 2006 I just happen to say out loud, "what is your name!" A female voice said Noelle, and at the same time the name in bold black letters was right in front of my face NOELLE, I started crying. The hard part was telling my husband this is what her name is! I wasn't due until Jan 9th, but had her early one week before Christmas.

You have clairaudience. Its a hard gift to swallow because you can't tell where it is coming from. I too have it and it scares me as well. I sometimes hear music when its not even on... Very confusing at times.

Sometimes I wonder who that person is on the other side. I guess the only way to find out is to start talking to them or if your still not ready for it just block it out. Fear is a big disadvantage of listening to what the other spirit's want or need help with. It also makes you more paranoid and have more outrageous conclusions of what is on the other side that is trying to talk to you. I have learned from other people that meditation and asking your spirit guides and angel's will boost up your courage to tackle your situation. The more belief you have of your guides and angel's protecting you the braver you become. Also any type of religion you believe in could help build up your courage.

If you fear that an evil entity is talking to you, ask and believe that your spirit guide and angel is able to kick them out of your room. If you don't believe then it won't do much but make it worse and doubt yourself. Evil spirits like to play with your doubt because it makes them more real and more powerful. The stronger you believe in guardians and spirits the more power they will have in helping you.

[at] lithicblossom and rashidah... Thank you for your comments, to continue: I would like to say that I want to have a conversation with one, but I think I'm too scared to actually go through with it. At first I thought it was just my mind playin tricks on me, but its most definetly not, these voices are clear and real to me... How can I not be scared? What do they mainly want? They're kind, but I don't know what to make of this. What if ones mean to me? I'm going to completly shut them out them.

I can't believe this is happening to me... It used to happen when I was a little girl, and the voices mainly manifested and came from the bathroom or closet and they were way louder than what I'm getting now...

In the state just before sleep your spiritual senses are heightened. So hearing voices before sleep is a norm for people who have ESP.
