I've known that I'm an elemental ever since I became aware of my "talents" as a psychic, which would be a little over a year ago. I started out with my "control" over the element of the air in an elementary way, thinking I had to force it to do what I wanted. This was through putting suggestions and directions for what I wanted to happen into a piece of my aura, and forcefully pushing it out into the air in a way... It's hard to describe, especially since it wasn't the natural way to go about it.
Now what I do is I simply connect my aura to that of the air around me. Most of the time, we are already connected, and I'll notice that when I'll have a passing thought such as, "Oh I wish the wind was not blowing in my face" and then all of a sudden it will change directions. That happens a lot to my surprise. But sometimes that preset connection is hard to detect and when I need something bigger done, like making it rain a state or two away, I make the connection more prominent. I usually simply close my eyes, and concentrate on my aura. Once I've got it, I can feel the wind and air around me, and I visualize connecting to it, like tendrils of my aura curling around like a vine. Then I'll simply talk in my mind, with many pictures and emotions more than real words, and I'll say something like "Send me a breeze from the west" And it will happen; that's when I know I'm connected. Then I'll simply ask the air to do me a favor.
For example, a friend of mine who lives in New Jersey just recently asked if I could send some rain. I simply connected, and visualized and spoke to the air of gathering moisture from the ground and humid air, and sending over a storm cloud to the area in which she lives.
Another time I did something similar to that was this past winter. Another friend of mine wanted it to snow on a certain day to get out of going somewhere. So, I lay down on my bed and connected. Then I willed the snow clouds still hanging around to collect more moisture from unfrozen ponds and lakes, and to blow over to his area, and snow over night. I was pretty doubtful of my success with this, until the next morning where lo and behold it was again snowing, when just hours before the sky had been completely clear. My friend did receive three inches of snow, though it was not enough to get out of what he had to do haha.
I am posting this to let other elementals get an idea of how I connect with my main element, the air, and to get some feedback.
