8yr Long Dream That Hurts Me

I have had a dream for 8 years. It would stop at certain times, and then continue the next night, going a bit further each time I would have it.

In this dream, I am standing under a bright white street light. I feel safe, protected. I am wearing a white knight gown that stops below my knees. My feet have no shoes on, I'm standing on gravel that is white. Behind me is a white church that looks a bit old. Before me and around the church is pure darkness.

I hear a very deep voice that snaps at me saying, "I've found you!"

My heart feels like it will burst and I run away into the darkness, away from the church, away from the voice. Something just demands me to run, and I can hear him running behind me. The darkness turns into a village, and I run into one of the huts thinking that I can hide from whoever it is chasing me.

When I go inside the hut, the walls are cemented like an alley. Covered with graffiti and there are homeless people just sitting around, trash everywhere. Some are grouped at a trash bin that is lit on fire to help keep them warm.

The man that is chasing me roars out in anger and I look around frantically to find a way out. There is a metal vent and I try to shimmy through it to get back outside, because the man is breaking down the hut door to get inside and grab me. The first time I go through the vent, I cut my leg and I awoke from the dream panting. Looking down I unravel the blankets from my body and see a long cut down my leg, bleeding.

When I have the dream again, I didn't cut myself and made it outside. Something told me to run back at the church, so I run. As I run up the steps, my hands reach out to grab at the doors. Before I could touch it the man grabs me and says, "Don't touch that. I have you now."

Though I am scared and thrashing to get away. His voice is very sensual and makes me shiver. I'm very confused by this. He pulls me away from the church, back under the bright white street light. All of a sudden the homeless people surround us, yelling at the man, saying, "Give her back to us! She is not yours!"

I hear him chuckle and he said, "No. She is mine. You will never get her back." He then picks me up and throws me over his shoulder, carrying me into the darkness with me screaming for help.

The only thing I know is that He wore all black. Shoulders were bare, tan, covered in black markings. I could not see anything past his chin so I have no idea what he looks like in the face, but the ends of his hair fell around his neck which was the color of blood red.

If I could have any help on this dream, I would appreciate it please. I feel that the guy is evil but his voice and the way he felt just seemed so familiar to me. It frightens me.

Hi dragonic_sacrifice,

What a symbolic dream you've had. Here's my (crazy) interpretation on it: You standing in the light in front of a white church is you back home, in the spiritual world, cozy and protected, getting ready to depart for the physical world which lies ahead of you as a dark, unknown, scary place. Him, finding you, is something you can only know. I'm guessing it represents a physical, human aspect that you need to dominate of a tough goal/mission/event you've set for yourself in this life. You know well it is a challenge because probably you've faced it before in previous lives and you've failed to control it. It could also be an aspect of your life you need to gain control of. Homeless people in your dream seem to be members of your spiritual group that may share with you similar objectives/challenges in their life, probably supporting each other and you in this life. You being taken away by this shade is you yielding to your challenge.

Nevertheless, this yielding of you to this shade is not profetic but more like a reflection of your fears or what has happened in past lives. Know that you are always capable of meeting any goals and resolving any challenges in your life. These are set specifically for you, for your advancement. So cheer up and be confident of your strenght and capabilities and next time you have this dream don't let this shadow seduce you with his voice nor be afraid of it. Face it and unmask it. That will take away forever the power if has over you.

dreams are often very symbolic in life and it may be your subconches mind trying to tell you something. You may have to run from someone or you have someone looking for you. But if there is so much darkness proced with caution. Good luck.

Wow. 8 years... Maybe that guy was a devil or something. Did the cut hurt? How'd you get the cut?

People say dreams are ways of your brain letting of heat/energy experienced through the day, so if your always doing/thinking of the same thing everyday, that is probaly why, I'm not 100% sure but that's what people have told me. If you don't mind, could you check my article, it's called 'An Inexcusable Premonition I Had A While Back', anyway, good luck! 😁 😁 😁

I had a dream one time that lasted for 3 days. It started when I woke up on this table and then everybody in the room was screaming and running around. I knew I had to get out of there but someone got a hold of me and then everything blacked out. The dream would be the same every night but I would get run closer to the door and once I got throgh it I never had that dream again. It lasted three nights in a row before it stopped.
I hope you get past your dream to. I think your dream must have been a part of your past life.
Good Luck! ❤ KatieChan

Yes I have been told to have had a old soul. And for some reason I know that he is dark, but I am comforted by him. It is crazy. I love God but my favorite angels are the ones with black wings. I don't understand this comfort with demons and darkness but it is worrying me, especially with this dream. I feel that the guy wanted to take me away from the light, away from those people but where they bad to begin with? I don't know...

I have a son who has ALSO been told he is an olD soul, dragonic_sacrifice. I know this is all second hand knowledge, and what I went through while raising him (which, I might add, I am still doing), but I KNOW what you are going through.
I feel it, through him.
Eight years, Huh?
Long time to be having a dream that "teases" you with glimpses of what is in the future of that dream.

What do you know of your FAMILY History? Do you recall ever hearing any stories of the Family Champion? That would be the family member that all seem to think "heroic", or seemingly untouchable.
Would that person happen to have been female?
Thank you.

A5, I don't believe that a certain colour ALWAYS represents something. I think its based on perception, so if someone thinks Darkness is comforting and light isn't... Then they see it as that. That's why I don't use aura translators, I think a colour could mean a different thing to everyone.

White represents purity and healing. Darkness often is taken as the opposite.
Perhaps you were looking at a Past Life of yours, though you would've known if that was it. I think in the dream no one was on your side and that your best bet was getting inside the church. If the dream persists and goes further, let us know
Hope the dream stops

I do not think there is such thing as an odd souls. All souls are similar. But there are odd personalities.

Try praying before you go to sleep to get rid of the nightmares.

I have been told before that I am a odd soul, and that I seem more mature for my age. I just can't help but feel both scared and safe with the dream. It's crazy.

As far as my name is concerned. I just like certain words so I put them together. Dragons are just a creature that I respect and hold very close. Wow that sounded weird, but it's true and I can't explain why. Lol. Sorry.

Well what it sounds like this person is someone from a past life, that's why they felt familiar. Most likely I would have to say its a memory from a past life that bothered you so deeply, it permantly inprinted itself in your memory.

Can I ask why did you choose the name Dragonic Sacrifice 😕
Have you gone to a counsellor about these dreams?
