Voices In The Wind - My Story

My story is a quite a bit old but nevertheless still haunts my mind. I was in high school still, a senior (I am 27 now) and my best friend and I had recently became Wiccan and had started to poke around with magic but this is all just a part of the story and has nothing to do with it. One night as I was waiting for a ride to go see my best friend I was doing a little magic just dumb spells regarding weather, I wanted it to stop raining, that I honestly didn't think would work (and didn't) ANYWAY, it was time for me to head down my driveway to meet my friend at the end of the road, it was night so it was dark and I lived in the woods up a long dirt road with zero lighting and as I was walking I was towards the top of my hill the wind started to blow, which isn't abnormal during the winter time, but this time it was different!

Now as a side note I have always felt like I was different, and have always had a fascination with the paranormal and ghosts, faeries, vampires, ghosts and anything you can possibly imagine and have never been frightened or imagined something like this would ever happen to me, but back on the story line again. The wind picked up and as it did I heard a voice, very feminine and soft almost like a whisper and it was definitely not in English or any other language I have ever heard. After I heard it I stopped dead in my tracks and listened as closely as I could but nothing then I stupidly asked "what?, can you repeat that again please" and to my astonishment the wind picked up and again the same voice the same words in the same language that I just did not and still don't understand. I stopped doing magic then (though I have picked back up a little) but I honestly think it has no connection just thought I would share just in case it did.

If anyone has had a similar situation of may know what or who was talking to me and what that strange yet curious language was please I would love to hear from you. Thank you.

The voice itself seemed friendly and not threatening or angry, the experience itself was scary (because I had never had something like that happen to me before) and after that I stopped playing around with magic... I was young and immature and had no idea what I was really playing with, now I use it, like you said, to help understand myself and my skills and path in life.
The only time I ever did magic was to help others, never to cause harm.
Whatever/whoever the voice came from did not speak a language I recognized or ever heard almost like an ancient language, was pretty neat but not familiar to me.

Missjamie--

Methinks thou dost protest too much! By which I mean, you've mentioned the Wicca, said it was nothing, mentioned it again. Why would it NOT have an impact on your story? You were attempting to contact and use energies/powers through that practice. It's not surprising that you attracted the attention of someone.

How did you feel about what the voice said? Was it angry or kind? Was it warning. Think about how it affected you and you might have an answer.

It could have been someone attached to you, to a past life in which you used such powers, or just a passerby who wanted to let you know that you were messing around with real powers.

Even though you didn't get the result you wanted doesn't mean it didn't work.

I guess my big objection to this kind of Wicca stuff is: Can't you find something positive that you would like to do with it? Say, knowing more about yourself, your "path" in life, your skills?

Others have brought this up on this forum often. And, I suppose, learning to "control" the wind/fire/water could be valid exercises. But you could also cause harm to others. It just seems you could start with something that only affects you.

But that's just my opinion.
