Real Psychic Experiences

Spirit Animals, Power Animals And Totem Animals

So I had this experience where I was doing a power animal meditation to see my power animal and I felt like I was in a trance I couldn't feel my body but as soon as I got an image of a forest I could feel the blades of grass hitting my legs, the breeze on my skin and I felt like I was touching ground, in this vision I guess I can call it I stood up and out of the forest came this giant wolf, it's head reached my chest and I reached out to touch it and I could feel coarse hair between my fingers and then the wolf started to disappear when I came out of the trance and back to my room I was standing in the middle of my room, lights off and in front of me was this giant wolf but only the outline of its face and shoulders but his eyes were glowing in the dark, I could see it clear as day and to this day I still wonder if I was just imagining it or if it was really there. I am part of this website because I am a clairvoyant, and empath, but me being 17 and just really realizing that I do have these gifts I am still a little confused about a lot of things, this experience being one of them. I thought this experience was really cool and I always feel so in touch with nature, I feel like the wolf being my power animal is really suiting. If you are replying to this, do you have a power animal? I'd love to hear about it. I am so curious to know more about what I experienced, and maybe get some insight on how I can become more in tune with my spirit animal, thank you for replying to this.

I have a power/spirit animal too, it is a wolf. One night, I was alone in my front yard and I saw two glowing yellow eyes near the edge of the forest. At first I thought it was a coyote, but then I saw its fur. The fur was black. Coyotes can't have black fur or yellow eyes, and this animal was much bigger than a coyote. But then, I saw the animal was almost translucent, like a ghost or spirit. Ever since then, I've had a strong connection with dogs. I can communicate with them. My bark is so realistic I have scared some people with it, and I have a good sense of smell and sensitive ears. I sometimes accidentally growl at people if they're angering or threatening me.

I believe what Tenkhee means by having shamanic experiences in your blood is... Is it possible you have an ancestor that was a shaman or spiritual healer? Some of my ancestors are of Cherokee heritage. And after I starting having dreams and visions of my 'spirit totems' I looked back on my native american heritage for advice and guidance.

I cannot recall the author's name, but there is a book called 'Animal Speak' that I found very helpful when learning about animal totems. It not only gives you a great deal of info on the animals... But also gives you insight on meanings of color of the animal, locations, and so much more. It also helps guide you with advice on meditation and how to better 'see' the messages your animal spirit is trying to communicate.

I myself have 2 'lifetime' totems... The white wolf and the black panther. In all of my visions I have not only been able to touch these animals, and feel their pelt (fur), I have been able to see through their eyes... So to speak. I can feel their emotions and thoughts as if they were my own. And I don't mean as in how an Empath (as I am) can feel the emotions of others. What I feel when 'connected' to my animal spirits is an entirely different feeling...
The main difference between these two totems is the wolf always remains beside me. I can see, hear, feel, etc everything as myself AND the wolf. Yet in my visions I always maintain my physical self. In my visions of the panther I am, at will, able to 'become one with' the panther. Meaning I lose my physical self and become the animal so to speak. No longer two seperate bodies and minds able to communicate, it's like we both become one...

And yes, I can recall with great clarity nearly every detail of my visions with these animals... Even still feel their pelt, smell the forest (or wherever I was), etc after 'waking' and leaving the vision.

From what I have learned in my research, we all have 'spirit totems'...just as we all have intuition and those "gut feelings". It's more whether you choose to ignore them or pay attention that matters.
Good luck to you! 😁

Its a great idea to meditate outside especially if you have a connection with the earth, like I. I love meditating outside, its so calming and relaxing, so yes I think it is a wonderful idea for you to meditate outside! Also do a power animal meditation you can find many online or even just meditate and let your power animal guide you through what to do, its really awesome when you find it! I have 3 but they only show up in my dreams and this website doesn't let you post things about dreams so mine are Wolf, Lion, an Eagle. Wolf meaning: Endurance, teaching, loyalty, cooperation, Lion meaning: Strength, courage, protector, an Eagle meaning: swiftness, courage, strength. I think they all suit me very well and they even help me in everyday situations!

Hi there, I can't say that I've found my power animal, but I do feel really connected with dogs. I love dogs, especially little ones, and I'm wondering do you think its a good idea to meditate outside? I'm thinking of trying that. 😊

Fuzzydragon, Thank you, I do meditate almost every night, and thank you for your insight I appreciate it. Wolves happen to be my favourite animal so I am already like an expert on them lol. Thank you again.

Tenkhee, What do you mean by shamanistic experiences in my blood? Is it significant that basically all my dreams are me running with wolves, or me being in a forest with wolves surrounding me?

Dear WahyaAgeyutsa,

I assume you have a shaman, or shamanic experiences in you blood.
It's genetic, no wonder The wolf is you guide, in a astral world the wolf is your horse, or how can I say. And there will be more animals, or birds as a guide. You need a practice, get a dream journal and write what you have dreamed of.
Ask your parents or relatives if you have a cousin or whoever that was a Shaman.

All the Best

The forest scene you described sounds very similar to the experience I had when I first met my power animal. Learning what your spirit animal is is a great first step.

A good thing to do would be to meditate with your power animal every day, in a quiet place where you won't be disturbed.

You may also want to learn more about your power animal's spirit meaning and natural life, to get more in touch with it. Then you might sense your power animal's presence by your side during your daily life.

I myself have four totems: Orca, Grizzly Bear, Blackbird, and Rabbit, the Orca being my power animal.

I have felt my guide along my spine.
But I was not asleep.

For power animals I received actual feathers two at my front
Door.

Guides, power animals all help us along our spiritual
Path.

My husband had a dreams of wolfs and he stated it was realistic and he could feel the fur upon awakening.

Is it normal to be able to touch, or at least feel your power animal? I have no doubt in my mind than I touched it when I came back from this trance thing I could still feel the fur on my skin it was like a tingling sensation. Is it also normal to see the power animal right after? Thank you for the reply

WahyaAgeyutsa, for more insight with your power animal spirit. When you meditate: ask them to give you identifying signals to let you know it is them.
If you set time aside daily, such as 7-10min.
When opening ask them to help you open up daily.
And when you have issues that arise during the day ask
For assistance. By keeping a postive thoughts and words this will also help build up your energy vibrations to connect in a stronger way.

Please bear in mind that the spirit power animals as well as guides are learning just as we are learning.

These are simple things to do but in the actual day to day situations it can be challenging as tough
On us as individuals. This will actually bring in spiritual growth changing our reactions.

I have 3 power animals: two crows, and a hawk.
Some of the way they have spoken is actual seeing
A crow, or hawk, which includes symbol.

Some of the gliding points to look at as in your vision is being grounded with the earth which is setting a seren area and relaying a point of interaction that is realistic. So it may be important
For you to walk in nature.

Maybe your animal represents humour, or light heartedness in a way, hyenas "laugh" a lot right? Or maybe it represents fearlessness, hyenas aren't afraid to take down a lion. Maybe your second animal was gone because of the situation you were in, maybe it became more apart of you to help you figure out the situation, one could be logic and one could be instinct. I don't know I am just guessing here lol thanks for replying

Nope, in my opinion it wasn't your imagination. I have had a vision of two hyenas outside my porch walking toward me side by side. They were almost as tall as this three story house.

I can't seem to communicate with my guides through meditation, maybe I am not relaxed enough. I think I am using the wrong method.

Yeh, but like I was saying, I saw two hyenas. AND as a matter of fact, last night I was struggling a bit with a issue and I saw one hyena in my mind. Then I said to myself where is the other one.
I guess these animals have interchangeable titles. Like this power animal is new to me. I know of animal totem and spirit animal.
Why couldn't mine be be a tiger or a lion? Kidding, I am happy with what I have.
