A few weeks ago, I got a sudden interest in out of body experiences, and wanted to learn whether they were actually the spirit temporarily leaving the body, or just a dream. I meditated as I was told, and after a few minutes I felt like I had fallen through something, and instantly blacked out for a few seconds. Then, I saw what looked like some lines arranged in an odd fashion, in the very center of a glaringly bright white light, which looked almost exactly like what you see when you look up through murky water with the sun shining through, only almost completely bleached out, which made it impossible to see anything other than a small patch in the center of my vision. This lasted for a few seconds, during which I felt like my body was almost "humming", and then I blacked out again, reopened my eyes (they were closed during his occurrence), and immediately fell into a deep sleep for thirty minutes.
This has never happened to me before, as a matter of fact this was my first time meditating at all.
I originally thought that this was just my eyes shutting down for sleep and giving false readings, but that didn't seem logical after thinking about it for a while, since my vision would probably have been more black in color, rather than white.
What do you think the bright white light could be?
Also, whenever I try to do something psychic in nature, It will work perfectly the first time, feebly the second time, and won't work at all for at least a month after that. What does this mean?
