Hearing Voices In The Middle Of The Night

In the middle of the night yesterday, my girlfriend woke up suddenly and heard a voice from a non-accent mid-aged lady saying: "You have to let it out now", afterward she woke up instantly and was shaking.

Just a little about our background. Me and my girlfriend recently moved into a new house. My girl friend is a Christian, and I heard one of her uncle has the ability to see and sense 'ghost', we have just found that out a few weeks ago. Although none of her other family members can do that.

I am a non-religious guy but I am a very opened minded person. I am not sure if I believe in ghost and sprits but I do not deny it. Many people I have met before commented that I have a strong sprit and can ward of 'sprits'. It sounds very strange to me because I do not exactly believe in ghost and sprits.

Anyways back to the story. My girlfriend last night suddenly woke up in the middle of the night around 4am and told me she heard a voice saying "You have to let it out now". She said she did not wake up from a dream, and right before the 'sprit' spoke with her she felt like she was drifting in the room not physically but in sprit. Then the sprit said: "You have to let it out now" from a corner of the room. She told me it felt like there was a fog in the corner of the room where the 'sprit' spoke.

At first she was very scared and panicked, but afterwards she told me she is no longer scared and it almost felt if the 'sprit' was telling her something and maybe trying to help her. After I woke up she said it feels like the 'sprit' has left the room already. Of course I did not hear anything.

Previously when we were living in the condo she had a few more experiences too. One time she said someone touched her when she was sleeping with a finger. Another time she said she was awake but she couldn't move her body and felt someone was to her on the left side but wasn't able to turn her head.

We had another experience when we stayed over a casino hotel. In the middle of the night she woke up and saw a shadow near very thick curtains and she said it was staring at us. When I woke up to my surprise I too felt like there was a shadow and was gone when I turned the lights on.

I have always told her maybe she was too stressed at work and it caused all the 'weird' things she was going through. But this time it was very different and I felt like I need to take this more seriously.

We are currently going through moving houses, new work, and marriage soon next year. I would describe our stress level very high right now, and I believe the stress might have to do with this but not sure.

I am very happy that I have found this forum, and I was wondering if anyone has any answers or comment regarding this. I would great appreciate any response!

Thanks for all the inputs, it is much appreciated!

Apparently my girlfriend has spoken to her mother regarding this issue and her mother too had these phenomenons before. Her mother believes theses voices are from guardian angels and they are trying to help solve some sort of problems. These phenomenons only happen once in a very long time.

My girlfriend that night told me she felt like the sprit was telling her to 'let it out now' and to let all her stress out. To speak her mind without holding back so she can release all her stress which is bottled inside her.

Thanks for all the constructive feedbacks. I have been with my girlfriend for around three years and I can't believe I am still learning new things about her.

It is true that she has been very stress and tried recently which may explain the recent attractions. Thanks for the tip for the limit of drugs, because its flu season and she has been using it a little more than usual.

On the side note last night she had a dream of walking into our house with me and it was very dusty, with spider webs, and without lights. But she didn't see anything 'unusual' and didn't feel threatened.

A little unrelated. On the night that we signed the purchase agreement for the property, something inside of me told me do not buy this house. But I always thought it is because this house is a little too much for us to afford, and I wasn't sure if I was prepared to buy such an expensive property without getting married first.

Maybe one of you is being followed by some entity. You should ask help from others.

Not believing in spirits is one of the best ways to fend them off so good job at that. But fear pierces even that non-believe, you will have to stay strong and support your girlfriend a lot. Also she has had sleep paralysis but most people experience this in their life's.

You might also want to get some experience in easy fending off spirits methods. Use christian ways as a basic since they seem the easiest, but don't just say something you have to genuinly ask for help from other deities. (If you really do believe these spirits excist you might as well go all the way to experiment which ways are the best to help you and your girlfriend to have a non-spirit night.)

I believe that your girlfriend really experienced those things, and I think it's good that you are open-minded and supportive. Congratulations on the positive life changes. What does your girlfriend think was meant by the comment, "You have to let it out now."? What would she have to "let out"? Perhaps you can ward off spirits because you are not afraid of them?

I tend to get attacked spiritually when I am tired or going through major life transitions. When you are tired, you are more open to spiritual attack.

I would recommend your girlfriend eat healthy, get plenty of sleep, and limit drugs (pharmaceutical or otherwise). This may be a little off topic, but I had an IUD that blocked the energy flow (and caused metal toxicity or an allergic reaction) which caused me to be more at risk for spiritual attack. Since I've had it out, I have felt better physically, mentally, and spiritually. I felt about 80% healed within 2 months, and 90-95% healed within 4 months. The spiritual healing meant that I went through a stage of mass amounts of dreaming followed by an ability to better cope with spiritual attacks. I'm not sure how other prescriptions would interfere with the body's natural health, though.
