Predictions By Feelings

I'm 14 and have been wondering for years now what I could be? I see things before they happen, but not in a vision. It's more like a feeling. If anybody can tell me what it's called or how I'm suppose to use it I would really appreciate it.

My first "feeling" was when I went to Vegas with my Uncle, Aunt, and his kids. We were on our way and the whole way over there I felt like something really bad was going to happen. I told my cousin she said not to worry about it. Next thing you know the second day we were there, my uncle had beaten my Aunt so much she began to have some sort of seizure. All I could think on the way back home was how did I know something really bad was going to happen?

Another thing that occurs at times is that I can predict what someone is about to say right before they say it... Today one of my uncles was talking about his wife and how she had called the night before. As he was about to say what she had called for, I thought in my head it was probably to ask him if he was with another women, right then he says she said "you better not be with another women or else..." I freaked and said oh my gosh it happened again!

Also today my head was hurting really badly and I couldn't explain why if I wasn't hungry or I wasn't stressing either. But then I asked my mom are you stressing? And she responded yes too much and this has happened a couple times now...?

Oh! And when I was 4th grade during class my friend kept yelling my name out but in her head. I turned around annoyed and yelled What? She just stared at me and after she had told me she hadn't even said my name yet we were both just really confused?

Well those are some of my experiences and I have no idea of how they happened or what you can say they were. Others I can't explain. And if this is anything how can I control it?

Good, I'm glad I'm not the only one with similar experiences. I have a lot of the same things as you. Less of the empathy stuff, though I do sometimes pick up on hefty emotions other people are having and let them effect me without even realizing it, though that's not usual. Usually I can just tell when someone is upset or really happy, etc.

Precognition. You have the skill called precognition. You know things are going to happen before they happen. I have the same skill. I wish I knew how to control it. But like Freakgirl said, it's probably something we can only understand not necessarily control or contain. Also, maybe you are an empath. I for instance, have precognitive abilities but I also am an empath. I feel other people's emotions (not an easy ability to live with but then again what psychic ability is easy to live with until you learn to understand it). It's been my experience that most people usually don't have just one skill but generally have a couple.
Just by reading your letter, I would say you have precognitive abilities. Also, being able to physically feel your mother's stress sounds like a form of physical empathy. Physical empathy is being able to feel another person's pain in your physical body. Ex: they have a headache, you have a headache.
As far as controlling it, meditation is the standard, basic answer but that is because it really does help. Though in my opinion, meditation isn't an immediate "fix" but something that with time will help you. Other things to try, read a lot, as much as you can about psychic abilities. I have a book called "Empowered by Empathy" by Rose Rosetree. I really like it and it has helped me alot.
I hope this helps or brings you some comfort.

Standard question here. So, I'll give you the standard answer. Meditation helps a heck of a lot. I will tell you right now, though, don't seek to contain the power, only to understand. Containing it; holding it back drives you insane.
