That Gut Feeling

Firstly, hi all:) This is my first post, so here goes nothing!

Secondly, I have to ask, does anyone ever get 'that gut feeling' when you first meet someone? One that tells you whether they're harmless or up to no good?

I've had this uncanny ability, since I can remember...

I like to call it a 'seeing people' thing (not very creative, I know:D), because when you first meet people, it's like you don't just see them, you see into them. I know it's bad to judge a book by it's cover, but these feelings always turn out right.

To be honest, it's not a glorifying 'ability', it's more like an animal instinct - a safety feature built in!

Since I live with this day in day out, I don't find it particularly amazing but it's admittedly exciting to know that if I purposely concentrate on those feelings I get, they seem to be more in depth and explanatory. I feel like I've just touched the tip of an iceberg of endless possibility!

I grew up around many spiritual people, and was taught to always follow my instincts, but I have no clue what this is.

My ole Mam used to say that I was just very in touch with my intuition and I was wondering if that's just it, or if there's a name for it and, if anyone else experiences it.

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated:)

The same thing happens with me. I get gut feelings but mine tell me if something is going to happen to me, that's bad.

But I also noticed that the same thing that happening to you, happens to me. I always known, I just try to ignor it because I do feel like I'm not giving people a chance.

We got this new girl at are school, two days ago. She seemed nice. But as soon as I saw her, I felt like there was someting off about her. Of couse whatever it was, I didn't like... I'm going to give her a chance...I'll try at least.

This one time my friend Amanda and me went bike riding, we were coasting down this huge hill. There was this old man at the side of the road a bit, just walking.
I coasted by him. I got the creeps from the old man. I amedently thought he was not a good person. It was this feeling... Kinda like something under my skin I can't scratch.
But Amanda said he said "Oh...heeey theeerrreee..." but only at me, he ignored Amanda, like she wasn't even there. She was riding behind me.
I thought "eeeewwwwiiee!"
After we rode back and he stared at me, he was chewing gum like a cow and he was squinting at me with a weird smile... God... His eyes remind me of something demonic... >.<

Those gut feelings help me a LOT. I remember my strongest gut feeling, when I met my mom's friend. I could tell she wasn't such a nice woman, and I predicted right. She cussed at her children and hit them oftenly. But of course, my gut feelings are more for...predicting. Take the Super Bowl this year. I had a gut feeling that one specific team was going to win, and they did. If you would want to contact me, you can email me at whoisrjunie [at] gmail.com.:)

Aah, it's so great to know that other people get this too 😊 And same with it running in the family! I would like to ask, has there ever been anyone you didn't get a gut feeling for? I'm curious to know... And thankyou for your comments 😁

I do as well, so does my dad. It's very hard to explain. It's like you can see exactly who they are when you look into their eyes or hear their voice, kind of strange!

I get those gut feelings about people as well. My mom said that she gets them, and that my grandma has that as well.
