Waking Up To My Name Being Called

In the last seven days, I've experienced my name being called while I was sleeping three times.

I've had lucid dreams, astral projections, mystic beings coming to my dreams, seeing dead people and premonition dreams since I was a child.

But I never had someone call my name so loud that it wakes me up.

I've been an active practitioner of magic for the last 2 years, I've had numerous evoking rituals and Sabbaths, I myself practice Rune magic and Norse Gods have spoken with me and sent me messages through my dreams on numerous occasions.

I'm writing all of this down so that those of you who are going to read and comment (hopefully) on this, can have a clearer picture of my past experiences and my overall lifestyle.

I've experienced many "strange" phenomena, and I always update myself on all kinds of oddities and abnormal happenings.

It's just that from the broad specter of all the "abnormal" things I've been experiencing my whole life, this neve happened before and I cannot help but wonder why, how come and what's the message?

I've googled and asked around on some witchy communities about this phenomena, but everything I've come up with so far is haunting, spirits of the deceased trying to communicate, the omen of death in the family and spirit guides trying to relay a message.

Every time I realize that I'm being called whether it wakes me up, or it takes my attention from the current dream in the other direction (dream within a dream) I get this chilling feeling.

It could be that I'm easily scared, I am, I have to admit, when I watch horror movies I scream on the fright scenes.

Or it could be that the energy isn't malevolent.

So, I was hoping I can hear some of your experiences, thoughts, advice and possible reasons/solutions to this.

Thank you very much ^v^

I have had this happened numerous of times. I can be sleep and I hear a voice I could have sworn was my step-mother. She said "wassup (my name) " and I turned over out of my sleep responding. Nobody was there. I had another occurrence when I clearly heard my best friend calling my name. I woke up and nobody was there and my best friend is deceased. I often hear my name being called a lot of times, but nobody would be there

We all have spirits that inhabit a physical shell. Our "body" is a filter that allows us to experience/perceive things in the physical realm. When we are asleep, we can disengage our astral form and then have a higher frequency which allows us to experience things in the next dimension that we normally can't perceive while awake. This includes voices from the astral. I've also actually heard radio waves and even confirmed what I heard. I wrote several articles that might help you on my sister site; www.astralvoyage.com;

I too have heard my voice called several times. I think spirits are just trying to get our attention and they know that while we're in an altered state, or asleep, our frequencies are such that we can sometimes hear them. Often these are spirits we've shared an incarnation with.

When you are sleeping and communicating, you are no different than the spirit talking to you. At that time, neither of you are using a physical mouth to talk. People weird out because of the term "ghost" but we're all ghosts, but with a temporary form.

Why shouldn't spirits talk to us? After you die, you'll be making your own contact with other spirits. I think there is less mystery than what we want to put on this experience.

We are eternal. We communicate. That pretty much sums it up.

Thanks for sharing,
Anne
