Empath Effects

My name is Maggie and I'm not sure what is happening to me. I hope you can help me figure this out.

One of the things that happen to me is that whenever someone talks about spirits/ghosts I get choked up and start crying. Now, this isn't a happy cry or a sad cry, I just get that lump in the back of my throat and I cry uncontrollably. This happens if someone talks about it in person or even on TV. This crying episode was extreme when I took a picture and realized there was a spirit in it. I bawled my eyes out for about five minutes and I couldn't stop it! Even typing this now I'm getting choked up. Any thoughts on why this could be?

Secondly, whenever someone is feeling ill and tells me it I immediately feel the same way. It even happened when I was watching a reality TV show and the people on it were sick: I felt their sickness. It also happens with small things like a minor headache. Like, my friend once told me she had a headache and I immediately felt her pain. I also get random moods and after reading several stories I think I might have empathy, but I'm not positive.

Also, I can usually tell if someone is a good person or not just from a first impression. But, I can only do this if their personality is strong, otherwise I need to concentrate. Is this just a natural ability that everyone has or is it a unique ability I can improve?

Am I just slightly intuitive? If you have any ideas don't be afraid to comment; I'm curious. And, if there are any ways I can make whatever I have stronger please let me know.

To explain my previous post I think you are an empath, but you are extremely sensitive. Meditating helps alot! So I now exactly what you are going through.

i never knew what I had until a couple days ago. I thought that I was just hyper-obsevervant, but now it affects my emotions. Also I have a question can an empath manipulate other peoples emotions as well because it tends to have that effect. 😕

you have empathy but you didn't develop it at all. It was given by a spirit that's why you keep cring because your body & chakra haven't adjusted to the outside gift you got. It will take weeks & years before your body& chakra accepts it. P.s. If anyone needs to know more about spirits I can help.

Eventhough I am not a witch I totally agree with Nire. You need to do some sort of vibrational raise, chakra balance and strengthen or other form of personal grounding. In addition, you need to let go of the fear you have regarding these abilities. They are natural and normal. Everyone has them but most people just tune them out.

I do a lot of energy and lightwork. And I often find it funny that people who are staunch non-believers in the spiritual world tend to use the terms and euphamisms quite often. You'll hear a photographer say, "That model brings great energy to the set" or "I just get a bad vibe from that guy" or "I just had a gut feeling about that". What they are saying is that they are sensing and experiencing the person's energy or utilizing their psychic senses just like you are, yet the refuse to believe it. You are going a step further and experiencing the emotions that come with that energy.

Let me say that there is a difference between sympathy and empathy. Make sure you know which one you are dealing with. I honestly don't have an answer as to the emotionless crying but I can say that once you work with your empathic abilities and get more and more validation you will gain confidence in what exactly what you are feeling and you will be able to control it.

I use my empathic sense quite often in my work and at home. If I am fine all day and then 15 minutes after my husband gets home I'm grumpy and irritated I know it's probably not me. I'll check in with him to see if there is anything bothering him.

All I can say is study, learn, get validation and you will be able to use this ability to your advantage in life. It will help you understand those around you and if you are fortunate enough to be in a helping profession it will make your job worlds easier.

Of all the things I can do I think being empathic is one of the best. It really connects you with other people. Once you learn how to let go of other people's issues, reflect them back so you don't take them on in the first place, and utilize your empathic sense, you'll feel so much better.

Good luck.

Perhaps it is extreme empathy. I really first noticed it when I I saw a dog yawn on TV and started and couldn't stop. I always knew, but that was funny and I appreciate humor so it was easier to accept. So it was easy in this way, but if you are an empathy person, the world will always will be a mix of happy and sad. There is no way around that. I suggest that you follow your own path and stick to it, regardless. I also suggest that you feel for those on a harder path. There are always rich and poor, good and bad, mellow and not, and I like the middle and up.

I am empathic as well and a Witch and my best recommendation to you is to raise your vibrations. When you feel other peoples emotions and you start crying, your vibrations are very low... About the same level as the persons' that you are getting the emotions from.

To raise your vibration all that you need to do is go out into nature or next to a tree and feel their energies. Absorb there energies and you should feel happier. Do this several times a week or day if you feel like and when you start feeling down then remember that feeling and fall back on it.

You are still young... I am 22 and I am starting to learn to control and use it to my advantage, I go ghost hunting and I use it to feel the vibes of the house and people around me. Usually when I get the bad "juju" feeling from negative energy I tend to stay away from that area or place.

If you have anymore questions place feel free to contact me about Empathy and I will try and answer more of your questions. It's just right now I don't have time to sit here and type a story LOL

I also have a website for you to goto when I get onto my computer (using my mom's) it is all about empathic traits and how you can learn to start controlling it and what-have-you.

Wait I remembered it (

Aim: gekbcm (it is always on so you can contact me at anytime... Preferably before bed time lol, the messages go straight to my phone.) ❤

Thanks! I appreciate your advice 😁. I'm still puzzled about the emotionless crying, though.

Sounds to me like you have empathy. Not everyone has it. You could try to meditate regularly, and that may help.
