Strong Empath

My name is Jason, I am 19 and a few things have happened over the years that make me think I may be a medium, psychic or empath I just don't know but definitely something though.

My entire life I have always been able to "feel" people; I don't mean physically. When I am near people I can feel their emotions, the pain, their happiness or sadness, if they regret things, if they are uncomfortable, if they are sick, etc. I don't know how I do it. I just do it without even realizing it really. Since I grew up with it, it kind of is like walking to me; easy. I asked my dad about it once and he said that he can do it as well, not as well as I can but he can to a certain degree. It certainly helps with being around people because I can 'feel' if they need me around or want me to leave. People always say I know exactly what to say and when to be there (or not).

I have a very close friend that I have known for more than three quarters of my life. She has since moved away and lives over 700 miles away. We keep in contact and talk almost daily via the internet or phone or whatever. I can taste things she eats, smell things she cooks, get cravings that she has, feel when she's upset, anxious, mad, happy, anything. Last week she had an anxiety attack and I had one as well. I know it was linked to her because I was lying in bed relaxing and meditating and all the sudden had an anxiety attack. I instantly called her (I am used to trusting my intuition by now) and she said that she had got nervous in class and freaked out.

One night I was talking to her online and I was home alone. I distinctly smelled peanut butter and tasted it in my mouth, to the point that my mouth started watering even though I didn't have any PB in the house. I thought it was a weird craving so I typed it to her and told her right away. She said "Are you serious? I just put a spoonful of PB in my mouth." This is just one instance and this has happened several times.

I have other experiences that are more psychic/medium related and I will post those in a different post so this isn't too long. Thanks for any help.

Hi am 14 years old and I know exactly what you are talking about because I have that exact same ability. You are a psychic empath like me. My ability is so strong sometimes I will actually feel physically hurt by some people and they don' even have to touch me. I have learned to block it out a lot of the times though. It is very difficult for me sometimes. You may want to read up on it to get some more insight on it. I noticed that the more I know abot something like this the more power and control I have over it.

I don't know if you had a particular question about empathic abilities but in my experience people who are empathic usually possess several abilities. I for one, am extremtly empathic as well as a medium.

I utilize my empathic abilities to help diagnose physical and emotional problems which comes in handy since I work in an herb shop. It also helps me know how to react and interact with customers.

I do actually feel the pain of others, I will feel their deepest emotions and even have urges to do certain actions. For example yesterday, I was sitting and just chatting with a client about nothing in particular and all of a sudden I wanted to soothingly rub my right knee. She was in the shop for another service and as I don't advertise what I am (a psychic) I had to work the questions into the conversation. I had to ask her if she had joint problems of the right knee. Of course, she said yes. Sometimes people ask me how I know, other times they don't. She asked me, so I told her, but she was a skeptic. I ended up selling her a product for joint health.

Sometimes the empathic abilities are helpful in realizing how people's emotional issues form into their physical pain or how they will react to the course of treatment we prescribe in our herb shop. If I know someone is emotionally unstable and will not benefit from a complicated course of herbs I will tailor thier program to keep it within their emotional capabilities.

I say to all of those who are discovering thier psychic or empathic abilities, embrace it, live it, examine it closely, learn from each psychic/empathic experience and move forward. Take courses, read books, talk to other empaths. And most important, follow your own path. Don't let someone tell you "this is the right way and your way is wrong." Form your own version of what you do.

In my experience the universe is huge and apparently there are few hard and fast rules when it comes to psychic stuff. Just be yourself and let your psychic abilities burst forth.

Good luck.

I read there are different names for various types extra sensory experiences; "Clairgustance (tasting) allows one to taste a substance without putting anything in one's mouth... Those who possess this ability are able to perceive the essence of a substance from the spiritual or ethereal realms through taste." (from the Wikipedia.com page on Clairvoyance) Also mentioned on that page are;
Clairsentience (feeling/touching), Clairaudience (hearing/listening), Clairalience (smelling) &
Claircognizance (knowing).

Well I don't know where you would need help, it doesn't seem like much of a problem since you seem to understand what it means to be epathic, just meditate and stay strong. Because people like us, most of the time when we are in a bad mood, its not our fault 😆.

Just enjoy life and having the incredible ability to help and change lives for the better (or worse)

The Best of Luck to you.
