Empath Advice Please

My name is Garrett and I'm 19 years old. I'm pretty sure I'm an Empath. I know when people are mad or happy or upset, but it is only when I'm with a person I'm "in tune" with (is that normal for an Empath?). Like I can kind of feel it, I can tell when others are hurting, but I don't feel their pain. I've been told that when I'm around people normally feel better, or just plain happy. It started around the 7th grade when I started to notice it. It was subtle at first, I don't feel large groups of people, but a more one on one type thing I feel a vibe about them (that's the best way for me to explain it). If you are an Empath could you help me out or give me any advice?

I was wondering though, is there any way to sharpen my ability would meditation help at all? Also, I've been fascinated with fire for awhile and I'm an Aires, so I don't know if that has any importance, but I was wondering is there anyway I can learn pyrokenisis or is that like a "you have to be born with" type thing, and would meditation help with any of this? It's all very confusing and I'm very new to all of this, I'm not scared of any of this just worried that it might go away if I don't learn of to control it.

So, in a nutshell any advice from an Empath or Pyrokenetic would help me out a lot!

Garrett

Zerocool, don't worry, your empathic ability will never go away, just get better with time. That's what mine did. It is not always a blessing however. Because sometimes you don't know what is your anger or their anger. Your anxiety, or their anxiety. I have found sometimes it is easier to be alone to get some relief from all the stimuli. Just my 2 cents.

Hello.

Sorry we were a little late.:) We don't check this site that often. What you can do if you want to see if you can "open" yourself more as an empath and try to figure out if you can, is check out our blog on shielding. Although shielding is used to protect, if you know how to do it, you can also use it to open yourself more and find out how strong you are. Please go to our MySpace and see the blog on shielding, hopefully it will help you.

I do think meditating will help a ton! I recently started meditating and it really helps me a lot! And yes it is pretty normal that you can be "in tune" with certain people! I have met and know a few people I am just naturally connected with. It is really weird especially when they are strangers. But certain people just give off stronger energies then others. You have to teach yourself to be open to all people. But read up on meditating and sheilding those things will help you tons! Good luck with everything!
