How Important Is Music?

Music, for almost four months now, if not more, has been sort of everything to me. It helped me calm down, think straight, and so much more. But now I'm unsure about something, and I think I have good reason for it, so here it is.

The other day while I was in my room I had my stereo on, some Christian rock and plain rock. My subwoofer was on, and the volume was on three. I went down stairs when I was called down, and I turned my stereo off, and it had been my Aunt calling me down to do some dishes. I did them, and felt really weird. I couldn't put my thumb on it though, so I just sat on my bed, and pulled out a book, and hit 'play' on my remote.

Immediately as the music started my heart beat started shifting, and it beat almost in sync with the beat in the song. The other thing happened was my energy felt like it just wanted to be used, and I felt like the music was waving through me, and my ears sort of sifted through it, it's hard to explain.

But the sensation made me feel so different. I tried another song, exact same thing, but different too because of the beat. So I decided to try this with my i-pod. It worked even more with the sensation and the sifting.

Since then music is different, entirely. And I feel so much better, even if it's emotion is angry, or sad. No matter the lyrics, the sensation is indescribably amazing.

And even though it's amazing and cool, I want to know if this happens to anyone else. If anyone knows what this is? Or is music is highly connected with anything like the paranormal or psychic powers. If anyone does, please leave a comment!

The same thing kind of happens to me, though I don't think I feel as excited as you do, but I do feel my energy field shifting, so to speak

I don't fear at all. Actually, it's made me liek music even more! The whole energy thing, I think I'll have to try it because I felt like I was bouncing off the walls! Psychic of physical, I'll have to experiment and see which one helps more.
Lol, my friends always complain the lyrics in my songs suck, or the beat is really whacked. But half the time I don't even listen to the lyrics, just the music, then I hear the lyrics and I'm completly freaked because I couldn't remember listening to the it before I put it on my i-pod. I'll try looking up Ultimate Harmoney on google, see what comes up:)

"my energy felt like it just wanted to be used"-Been there, when I get this way, I usually have to do something with my energy to keep from getting to uneasy.

As for the music-also been there. Something changed with me when this started happening to me. Nowadays, for the most part, I only listen to atmospheric, new age, etc. One particular group that helped in the beginning was Amethystium, but after a while, I had to go on to stuff like David Arkenstone and Mehdi. I do know this... It has something to do with ultimate harmony, and it should be embraced, not feared.

The same thing happens to me. If I am feeling depressed or anything, I listen to some blues or rock and I instantly feel better.

Music in essence is the soul. That's why it calms you. Think of your life and your tribulations, being different parts to a grand symphony.

It is Not scary.
I have always had a strong opinion on music. I'm not sure what that opinion is, other than there are some who feel it, some who dont, and some who don't know what they are feeling.
I know what I am feeling when I hear it. I wish I was an expert on the subject, But I am only an admirer in training. Listen to it, try and open up to what it tells you, Maybe meditate to it, and you will discover what it is that you are experiencing!
Thank you for your story! 😉

That used to happen to me! It was very cool. But I lost my iPod recently and for some reason, I feel more down. It's like a prt of me was taken away. Music is somehow part of life so yes, it is important. Very important.
